We got excellent value for our money with a beautifully decorated room and fine views. The hotel's location was perfect for exploring the Krauma thermal bath and a famous waterfall, and the staff treated us with utmost friendliness and helpfulness.
Hotel breakfast could have been better with a wider variety of options.

The location of the hotel was great, with easy access to nearby attractions and beautiful scenery. The staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. They went out of their way to make sure we felt welcome and offered advice on local activities. The on-site restaurant was a convenient option for dining, as there were limited dining options in the area. The food was delicious and we enjoyed trying some Icelandic dishes.
The walls of the hotel were extremely thin, resulting in constant noise from neighboring rooms. We could hear conversations and even a crying baby from the room next to us.

Spectacular breakfast room view over grasslands and river. Sweet collie dog greeted us at entrance. Substantial and delicious breakfast with porridge, cereals, breads, and toppings including cheese and cold cuts. Excellent 3-course dinner, cheap wine and beer. Tastefully converted from working dairy with welcoming lounge/dining room. Rural location with views, short drive to Barnafoss. 50 words.

We enjoyed the peaceful and quiet atmosphere, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. the friendly staff made us feel welcomed and provided useful information during our late arrival.
Our room had several issues. the tiles on the floor were poorly fitted, creating an uneven surface, and the bathroom grouting was subpar.

This wonderful B&B offers breathtaking views of the valley and river, perfect for those who want to be in direct touch with nature. The restaurant/lounge provides a fantastic vantage point to enjoy these views, and the fireplace adds a cozy atmosphere. The modern bathroom with a good shower is a refreshing touch, and the food in the restaurant is delicious. The staff is friendly and helpful, even going the extra mile to assist with a flat tyre. The terrace outside the room is a great spot to relax in the evening, despite being a bit windy and chilly at times. Nearby attractions like the waterfall, lava tunnels, and glacier make for exciting day trips, while the pool and hot tubs in Husafell provide a relaxing way to unwind.
Felt safe, nothing too much trouble.
